Aranyozott Bögrék Step by Step - DIY Golden Mugs

Bár az ünnepek már elmúltak, a hangulatot még visszacsempészhetjük kicsit a lakásba. Az ötletek kiapadhatatlan forrásából - alilas pinterest - inspirálódva ma azt mutatom meg, hogy hogyan készíthettek aranyozott bögréket. Vagy igazából bármilyen más aranyozott asztalneműt - én egészen rákattantam és egy teljes étkészlet legyártását tervezem. A csillogó bögrék mesés hangulatot varázsolnak minden reggeli mellé.

Altough Christmas is over, we can still have a festive feeling in our home. I got some inspiration from Pinterest - as always - and now I am showing you how to create these beautiful golden mugs. Or plates. Or bowls. Basically anything - I got so excites that now I am planning to create all of these. They provide such a great ans shiny atmospehere for an ordinary breakfast as well.

Ez a projekt kifejezetten pénztárcabarát, hiszen csak ragasztószalagra, szórófejes festékre, bögrére illetve újságpapírra lesz szükségünk. Én a szobafestésből visszamaradt élragasztót használtam - celluxot semmiképp nem javaslok, mert fontos hogy a széle szépen felfeküdjön. A festék volt az egyetlen nagyobb beruházás a maga 1000 forint körüli árával - bármelyik hobbiboltól beszerezhető. Míg bögrék az IKEAból származnak - darabja kevesebb mint 200 forintért.

This project can be realized within a small budget; we only need masking tape, golden spray and the mugs. I used a masking tape which is originally for painting the walls - you can use any other type, the only important thing is that it needs to fit tight. The spray paint cost abou 4 bucks, you can get it from any crafts store. The mugs are from IKEA, each costs less than $2.

Step 1

A ragaszószalag segítségével kialakítjuk a tervezett minta vonalait. Mivel a bögrék felülete nem egyenletes, hanem enyhén domborodik, én kb 2 centis darabokat téptem le a szalagból és ezek segítségével alkottam egyenes vonalakat. Nagyon fontos, hogy a széleit jól simítsuk oda, mert különben aláfolyhat a festék.

First we use the masking tape to work up the design. Since the survace of the mugs is a little gibbous, I used approximetely 1 inch long pieces of the tape to create straight lines. It is very important, that the edge of the tape to fit well. If it doesn't fit, the spray might get under it.

Step 2

A minta kialakítása után a bögre többi részét fedjük le. Én a ragasztószalag-takarékosság jegyében újságpapírral csináltam, de akár az egészet beragasztószalagozhatjuk. Itt is az a lényeg, hogy a festék majd csak oda jusson, ahova mi szeretnénk.

After shaping up the design, we have to cover the rest of the mugs. I used some old newspaper, but you can do it with the masking tape as well. The key is the same here as it were in the previous pont: we want the paint to cover only the assigned parts of the mugs.

Step 3

Most jön a legnehezebb rész, a lefújás. Javaslom, hogy szabad levegőn csináljátok, mert mindenhova jutni fog a festékből. Ha van otthon feláldozható gumikesztyű, akkor azt is húzzatok, mert én fél napig rohangáltam aranyra fújt bal kézzel. A festék dobozán pontos leírást találtok arról, hogy milyen messziről fújjátok és mennyi a száradási idő.  Egy réteg száradási ideje nekem kb 15 perc, és tökéletes fedés érdekében két rétegben fújtam le őket.

Here comes the tricky part, the spraying. Try to do it outside, because the golden paint will cover everything. If you have some plastic gloves at home wear them as well - I didn't have any so my left hand was covered with a golden shimmer for a whole day. On the spray you can read about the drying time and the importan informations. For a perfect coverage, I used two layers of paint.

Step 4

Amikor megszáradt a festék, elkezdhetjük szépen, óvatosan lebontani a ragasztószalagot. Először az újságpapíros résztől szabaduljunk meg, és fokozatosan haladjunk a festett rész felé. Ha esetleg helyenként megcsúszott a festés semmi probléma - egy körömlakklemosós fültisztító pálcával könnyedén korrigálhatunk.

When the paint has dried, we can start to get rid of the newspaper and the masking tape. Be careful and start from the newspaper, then remove the masking tape. If there are some slight errors, don't worry: dip a cotton pad into nail polish remover and you can easily do the corrections.
